Background

Segun Odusanya has over 27 years (with twelve at senior executive management levels) experience in banking (Corporate and Retail), Corporate Finance, SME, etc., in Nigeria and Africa. Previously served as Managing Director/Regional Head of Commercial Clients for Africa at Standard Chartered Bank Africa – covering counties in West, East and Southern Africa. Prior to that, served as Deputy CEO at FCMB, and Regional Director Client Relationships at Standard Chartered Bank East Africa – covering Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
He also served at various middle and senior level positions in Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, Zenith Bank and erstwhile Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited.
Segun was a University of Lagos Scholar, graduating with Bachelors’ and Masters of Science degrees in Banking and Finance from the University. He has attended various leadership and specialized courses in top notch universities such as Harvard Business School, Oxford University (SAID Business School) and London Business School.

Olubusola Awosile

Head, Digital Strategy | FSDH Group

Background

Olubusola Awosile has over 25 years of experience in Digital Banking, Retail, and FMCG, helping businesses improve customer experience, streamline operations, and boost revenue. She’s passionate about digital transformation, especially in the retail space, and focuses on creating real value by looking at the entire ecosystem.

Prior to joining FSDH Holding Company, she was an Assistant General manger in Sterling Bank, where she started her career as Head of Service Experience and Branch Operations, before being made head of Digital sales and Diaspora Banking. She has also led digital product management teams in charge of retail assets and liability platforms.

She earned a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and later moved to the UK, where she spent 11 years at Sainsbury’s Plc—one of the UK’s leading retail companies. There, she worked in customer experience and analytics, earning promotions based on performance. After completing her MBA at the University of Hertfordshire, she returned to Nigeria to continue her career. Olubusola is also a trained retail analyst and has attended leadership programs, as well as training in budget and financial planning, digital marketing, sales, and product journey mapping.

Cornelia Iyanga George Utuk

Background

Cornelia George Utuk has over 25 years of experience in financial services, spanning roles in commercial, investment, and merchant banks. She began her career in 1999 at Standard Trust Bank and UBA, later joining Marina Securities and playing a key role in transforming Associated Discount House into Coronation Merchant Bank.

Cornelia holds an LLB, BL, and MBA, with leadership training from Dale Carnegie, McGill University, and Harvard Business School. She is a fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Society of Corporate Governance, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and WIMBIZ.

Olukemi Ifekoya

 Strategic Human Resource Lead

Background

Olukemi is a Human Resources Professional with diverse financial services experience and accomplishments in strategic human resource business partnering, HR Operations, learning, outsourcing and talent management.

 

Prior to joining FSDH Holding Company, she worked with the Stanbic IBTC Group for 14 years starting out as a HR generalist in Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited and most recently as the Senior Business Partner for the Corporate and Investment Banking Business segment at Stanbic IBTC Bank, where she partnered with business leaders to articulate and achieve business objectives through related people initiatives that translate from the corporate strategy.

 

She holds a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Lagos. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), a Senior Certified Professional at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM, USA) as well a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management at the HR Certification Institution (HRCI, USA).

Suleiman Baba

Head, Group Regulatory Risk & Government Relations

Background

Suleiman Muhammed Baba heads the Group Regulatory Risk & Government Relations team at FSDH Holding Company. Prior to this, he was a pioneer staff of FSDH Merchant Bank, where he rose to become Head of the Abuja Branch, and before this, he worked at New Africa Merchant Bank Limited, Lagos. Suleiman has over 25 years’ experience in Treasury, Credit, Marketing, Public Sector and Compliance, and is currently responsible for the implementation of the Group’s strategic business objectives in the northern target market. He is a graduate of Management Science from the University of Sokoto, obtained an MBA from the University of Lagos, and has participated in several senior management programmes at local and international level.
