FSDH Asset Management Limited (FAML) is an asset management company recently established by FSDH to provide investment advisory and wholesale portfolio management services to clients whose investment horizon is essentially long-term. This initiative evolved out of the need to compliment our traditional business in the short-end of the market. With our team of highly experienced fund managers, we are able to provide tailored wealth management solutions to large institutional investors as well High Net Worth Individuals which, typically have varying investment objectives.

The FSDH Investment Management Approach

At FSDH, we insist on adopting a consultative approach to determine the specific investment objectives of the client. We recognize the importance of consistent long-term performance for our clients’ and ensure that we apply investment strategies, only, when we are convinced that they are in the client’s interest. In this manner, we show our desire to commit to a long-term relationship with clients’.

Our investment policy, strategies and methods are structured and driven largely, by first-rate research and information management systems that enhance the entire process. We believe that a well-defined and regularly evaluated process plays a significant role in the investment performance of any portfolio. Our regular investment strategy meetings provide the forum to actively review all our investment policies and performance.

We also embrace a global perspective in providing investment management advice, knowing fully well, that over the long-term, a portfolio that is diversified across markets and asset classes will be protected from specific-market risk and be poised to generate better returns.

The CORAL GROWTH FUND (CGF)
This is a unitised investment scheme designed for investors with a long-term investment horizon who seek to achieve capital growth. The fund is predominantly invested in large capitalisation equities quoted on The Nigerian Stock Exchange as well as fixed income instruments in the Nigerian Money Market.

The qualifying investment sum for this product is =N=50,000.00.

The CGF is actively managed by highly trained asset managers with a cummulative experience of more than thirty years in the management of assets in the money and capital markets. Furthermore, investors are assured of superior capital growth than for investments that are exclusively in the money market as the trend over the last five years indicate that investment in the Nigeria Stock Market present far superior returns than the money market over the long term.

Independently Managed Portfolios
We manage on a discretionary basis, the portfolios of institutions and individuals. After ascertaining the investment objectives of the client, the fund manager relieves the investor of the day-to-day portfolio management decisions. This allows the fund manager to react promptly to events in global financial markets. The assets of portfolios, typically comprising of quoted equities and fixed income instruments, are monitored daily, by our team of fund managers. We also manage the portfolios of pension fund clients whose investment objectives include amongst others, to maximize real returns on investment.

Performance Evaluation
Based on the client’s stated investment objectives, our portfolio managers advise on the appropriate asset allocation mix, following from which, a performance benchmark is pre-agreed. The client will be able to monitor portfolio performance through comprehensive valuation reports provided at regular intervals, usually quarterly or semi-annually. These reports will include information on the portfolio’s asset allocation, performance review and forecast, financial statements as well as transactions history. In this way, clients’ ensure that our investment strategies are always in lock step with their investment objectives.
